While some beekeepers may complain about propolis covering all corners, walls, nooks and crannies of the hive like glue giving them something to work through to get to the honey. Most are happy to see it there and the more of it the better for the bee’s health.

Propolis is collected by honey bees from the resins of tree & flower buds; taken back to the hive it is mixed with bee enzymes & wax & smeared everywhere in the hive to keep it a sterile environment.

One of the ACTIVE components in the bee propolis is the 100's of bioflavaniods; these bioflavanoids are important for building an immune system. The hive as a whole is one type of immune system.
